When you live in a state of constant busyness, you are communicating to the world that you are not in control of your business or your life.
When you say, “I am too busy,” you are saying:
· “I'm not clear on what I'm doing.” - In most cases, you are just squandering your energy and resources. Successful business owners are clear and purposeful in their time and what they say yes to and what they say no to.
· “I am so disorganized.” – What I have observed is that the most organized people I know appear less busy. Because they have structured their days, weeks, and months to do what is important. And they’ve built in the time to do it.
· “I can’t manage my business.” – Typically, when tasks need to be completed but are not, the owner will say, “But I’ve been so busy.” What this really means is you are not focused on the essentials for success in your business.
There is only one way to escape this. You want to identify the actions that are most essential to your business AND your life. Schedule them and then protect the schedule.
